Age Limits

You must be 20 years of age or over to enter the casino at SkyCity Hamilton (R20). To purchase or be served alcohol, you must be 18 years of age or over.

We take all practicable steps to ensure that anyone under 20 is not allowed in the gaming areas. If our staff are unsure of your age, they will ask you to provide acceptable photo identification. If you cannot provide acceptable ID, you will not be permitted to enter the gaming areas or, where relevant, to purchase alcohol.

Acceptable forms of identification include a current New Zealand driver licence, a current passport, or a Kiwi Access Card (18+ card).

Unattended children

Children must not be left unattended anywhere on the premises, including car parks. We take all practicable steps to ensure children are not left unattended, and our staff will act if a child appears to be unsupervised.

Penalties

It is an offence for a person under 20 to enter the casino, and for anyone to assist a person under 20 to enter. Penalties apply. It is also an offence to supply alcohol to a person under 18. We enforce these age limits at all times.
