SkyCare Breaks
SkyCare Breaks
Taking regular breaks is an important part of gambling responsibly. Our SkyCare Breaks programme encourages our guests to step away from gaming at regular intervals.
To help our guests gamble responsibly, SkyCity has limits on how long you can play without taking a break, and on how long you can stay onsite:
- After a period of continuous gaming, you will be encouraged to take a break of at least 30 minutes away from the gaming area.
- After 6 hours of gaming, a break of at least 30 minutes is required.
- After 36 hours onsite, a longer break is required before you can return.
For guests who stay onsite for extended periods, additional breaks apply — for example, a break is required after 12 hours, and a longer break after 18 hours onsite. These limits are subject to change at any time.
Our staff regularly check in and interact with our customers to make sure they are gaming responsibly, playing within their means and taking breaks.
Setting your own limits before you play can also help. For more information on setting time and money limits, see our Pre-Commitment page.
