In December 2004, amendments were made to the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 and smoking has been banned in all indoor spaces in New Zealand hospitality venues. This means people can no longer smoke inside places such as bars, gaming venues, clubs, hotel rooms, and restaurants.
At SkyCity Hamilton, all our bars and gaming venues are smoke-free and this includes anywhere inside the complex including the car park.
Smoking customers are still welcome at SkyCity and we have four outdoor balconies especially for smokers.
In the casino, they are located off:
- Number Eight bar
- The main gaming floor
- Amuse Bar & Kitchen
There is also a smoking area outside the front of Zone Sports Bar. You can buy a range of cigarettes at any of our bars during operational hours.
