SkyCity Hamilton's on-going Energy Management Programme aims to reduce our overall energy use by implementing sustainable lighting, lighting controls and HVAC (air conditioning) optimisation throughout the complex in stages.

The first stage was recently completed in changing over all lighting within the SkyCity Hamilton car park, replacing fluorescent lights with LED's - delivering a significantly lower base line power draw at full power, eliminating Ultra-Violet light and extending the average live span of each bulb.

Each year 6,807,825 kWh of electricity and gas are used through the entire SkyCity Hamilton complex to allow us to operate 24/7; 363 days of the year. Through stage one of our Energy Management Programme, this number has been reduced by an estimated 680,783 kWh.
